Club Programmes
Liberty, Heritage and Revolution
The History of Ideas Club has previously explored three extended teaching series. Each brought roughly ten thinkers into conversation across the ancient, early modern and modern worlds.
Liberty
Freedom, authority, citizenship and the rival traditions through which political liberty has been understood.
Heritage
Tradition, inheritance, memory and the arguments societies make about what deserves to be preserved.
Revolution
Political rupture, reform and the ideas used to justify—or resist—transformative change.
Individual session notes are not yet published online. As the digital archive grows, material from these programmes will be added here rather than represented by placeholder links.
